Sorry for not updating~ I've got some small news with my doll family but that can wait until I take the related photos ;; Anyway today was the first day of the Dolpa but unfortunately my camera card malfunctioned a little bit after it began.... so most of the pictures will be added later since I managed to get some taken on the wonderful Evelyn's camera.

The ones I'm posting now are a bit bad...soooo sorry! The following are what were displayed at the FDQ limited model area. I'm so happy to see Irvine is gorgeous in real life and not orange! The SD16s are still not my cup of tea but I'm sure many will find them to be beautiful girls. There were also FCS dolls in that area, including the new Sato-exclusive MSD fairy models but unfortunately my camera stopped working at that point ;;..........

Now for better photos! These are for the second day...I brought a different memory card with me this time so no problems! 

 Limited Items & Workshop - Today was mostly for buying limited items and the makeup and body maintenance workshops. Volks brought over some outfits made by Japanese vendors as well, I got there a bit late so a lot of the goods were gooone ;;; But I managed to snag a cute MSD dress set for girls by Tsukika that Westley had to model since I had him along today, he wasn't very happy about that... 8w8; There were also kimono and a limited elf outfit for sale.

Limited Dolls - Irvin was on display again today accompanied by the mysterious snowskinned Irvin and the Yo-SD Four Sisters (Megu, Nana, Kira, Sara). Both Irvins are beautiful but I've been trying so hard to keep my collection in the smaller range so it was a bit difficult to turn them down. The Yo-SDs were so cute! I gave in and put in a ticket for Nana; they'll be contacting the winners via e-mail on June 16th so I can decide then if I win her.

 

Unfortunately a sad incident took place during the event. 6 unique and beautiful dolls that were on display on the first day, along with one of the Irvins, went missing overnight. It was heartbreaking to hear Mr. Shigeta and Mikey break the news to us, and hopefully they will be found and donated to the Make A Wish foundation as Mr. Shigeta has hoped. More information can be found in the Den of Angels thread. I will be on the lookout so everyone else, please also make an effort to locate these unfortunate dolls.

Some pictures I took today - I never have time to do anything for my dolls recently (including buying new clothes ;;;) so I tried to capture their current look.

I did manage to buy these boots for Westley though...he'll finally have his own shoes instead of borrowing the loafers all the time;; I also got confirmation for NYDolpa3 so I'll be going..!!! I'm not planning on getting Irvin and still undecided about Nana, so we'll see as Dolpa gets closer if I'll be purchasing any new dolls then... Otherwise I'm saving up for Kanon, unless Volks releases a new MSD anytime soon *wants to see new MSDs so badly*

I'll be attending the NYC Dolpa 3 this June.

The news of the four sisters Yo-SDs has really gotten me up in a knot though...do I want to try for a Nana or save up for a Kanon...? I really like Kanon because she resembles a mini Mika/Ken, and if I bought her then she would fit into the family perfectly. Nana however is limited...*weak person when it comes to limited things -w-;;*

The H. Naoto MSD stuff is killing me~! And here I thought I was safe because Volks almost never makes anything special for that size...! At least it looks like the Kuuta suit will be more available so I can buy that `w`

I also like Hana-Ichigo...she reminds me of a mini Anais/MSD F-06~

So Westley is finally here after about 11 weeks *U*) I was apprehensive about the makeup but they did a wonderful job. The blushing perhaps wasn't as strong as I'd liked it to be, but I love the gradient brows and glad to see that they added the bottom eyeliner. The short shaggy wine red wig wasn't really intended to be for Westley but he looks good in it so he gets to keep it for now >3< (I'm also too lazy to find his actual wig....orz)

Personality: Serious and innocent. Being the oldest child, Puri always carries the heaviest burdens. Likes biscotti and cheese sandwiches and fireworks. She is somewhat clumsy and always seems to misplace her eyeglasses...even though they're usually on the top of her head.

Personality: A big bully, albeit a very clean and neat one. Flan is the type of girl that would steal candy from kids and kick puppies. She likes to play with Creme and Roro and eat sweets; her favorite is panna cotta. When it rains, she stays at home and make 'teru teru bouzu' with Roro.

Personality: A cheerful little boy. Very impatient and can't ever sit still. Likes sweet things and bubbles and taking baths. Because he is the youngest he gets all his sisters' toys; his favourite toy right now is 'heehee-san' (rubber duck). He is afraid of being too warm so he always tries to wear as little clothing as he can. His sisters are trying their very best to teach Roro that he can't run around in underpants...

Personality (Tentative): The odd jobs neighbor. Westley delivers their newspaper and milk every morning and is always disturbed to find Roro greeting him in a dress or underpants. His new mission is to teach Roro how to be a real man. 

Ahhhh I haven't updated in so long!!!

I've been busy with some real life issues and have had other places to spend money on so my dolls have been neglected as of late...especially since Westley won't be here until next month T3T (only a few more weeks, I can do it!!) I did manage to get a new wig (W-92N in Ivory) and a pair of 18mm Pale Purple with Black Line through Blivy and I still have one of the new Standard MSD blouses on order with CHUNKY. Apparently they didn't have the miniskirt I wanted in stock at any of the Sumikas they visited so I'll have to wait for online order...

The eyes were definitely meant for Flan since I've always wanted her to look similar to her SD13 counterpart Tachibana Jun, but I didn't really have anyone in mind when I bought the wig. I think it fits her well though; Puri looks strange in anything other than brown orz

My order from VolksUSA came in today. The Soul Drive clothing is PERFECT for Yo-SD. I only bought some tops/outerwear because I was afraid the pants might be a bit small at the waist for them. The t-shirt and sweatshirt have velcro fastenings in the back and the hoodie has a fully functional zipper. I love the quality; the hoodie has tiny embroidered details and a little red 'label' near the pocket that is easy to miss. The price is significantly lower than that of Chibi Dress ($10-$20 per item on VolksUSA and much less than that if you are in Japan) and I am surprised so few owners have bothered to look into it, especially since it is available on the International/USA sites.

I also recieved Westley's optional hands from the Summer Fair event. Some of the seams are a little troubling, and the S-hooks were covered with excess resin, but I was able to remove some of the casting flaws. The color is as gorgeous as ever and hopefully I'll be able to own more sunlight dolls in the future ^3^ The color of the photo is fairly accurate; I would've liked to post a comparison picture of normal 'fresh' skin and sunlight but unfortunately it's already dark...I will post it when I have natural light.

Here are some yukata photos from a while ago that I saved for today. The mask is from my personal collection, I have a red 'oni' mask from a natto giveaway as well but seemed to have misplaced it for the time being *sigh* It was the perfect size for Roro too... Tanabata wasn't much but at least we had hiyashi chuuka for the occasion  °３°） I also bought the Sunlight optional MSD hands on VolksUSA today, along with some Soul Drive clothes for Roro and Creme; the size seems to work well and there's so much variety to choose from so it's really not a bad source for Yo-SD clothing. It may not fit as proportionally as actual Chibi Dress but the quality is certainly very high regardless. 

My mother returned from Japan two days ago...bearing loads of stuff for my dolls XD Most of it was MSD-sized for my girls but she also picked up some Yo-SD sized clothing like this adorable cardigan. I was mainly excited about getting the raincoat though, and we basically rummaged through the suitcases until it was found.

It was oddly appropriate for the last two days since it's been raining buckets, so when the sun came out today I managed to snap a few photos before it started thundering again T3T)~ It's also the most adorable thing ever, the way these clothes are constructed with such detail continues to fascinate me (*゜Д゜*)

Also since VolksUSA is going to be having a Summer Fair and offering Yo-SD and Sunlight parts...I think I'll have to skip on the Dolpa 17 clothes in order to save up for those instead. I really want Westley to have his 'normal' hands, and this is the only opportunity for me to do so since it's unlikely I'll get to go to Tenshi-no-Sato this year. I also want to pick up the Yo-SD praying hands and Blivy might be picking up some eyes and wigs for me in Sumika soon, so funds are pretty tight now orz. I have the White Cat outfit now anyway so missing out on Black Cat won't be too bad.
