Today I set up a lightbox using some foam core and tracing paper left over from my architecture studio supplies. These photographs are the result, but I had a lot of problems with the lights, which left some of the photos looking slightly washed out. Also, since my DSLR is out being fixed, I'm left with a point-and-shoot Casio camera at my disposal （°へ°ａ；） It's not a BAD camera per se, but I'm much more used to being able to adjust everything manually rather than have things auto-focused and lighted for me. I'll also have to go pick up some lights soon; right now I'm using a very small economy bulb and my desklamp... ；；；

Since I did a profile for Puff, I thought I should do profiles for all the rest of my dolls as well since I don't have that many to begin with... Anyway, Puri is my oldest doll and the poor bearer of many beginner BJD owner/customiser woes. I got her as a MSD Ken kit since I wasn't a big fan of the way Mika looked in the official pictures and had a terribly difficult time assembling and stringing. And I think the very first thing I did after the initial horrible faceup was carve the eyes a bit and paint black upper eyelashes on them XD; It took me a good while to learn how to do faceups properly so poor Puri was stuck with many bad ones. I am very partial to her especially since she was my first and I learned a lot about painting dolls from her.

In other dolly news, I am thinking about getting MSD FCS at the NYC Dolpa if there are no limiteds that catch my eye. Most likely I will go with F-09. I wasn't fond of Hewitt's serious face and the F-09 is a cheerful alternative. However I am having trouble deciding whether I would like to get it on a girl suwarikko body so I can switch it with Puri's, or getting a boy body in Sunlight Skin. Both are equally tempting, but I am leaning towards the Sunlight boy since it is hard to get it here in the USA and I will not be going back to Japan in a while, or staying long enough to actually receive the doll (my mother is back there right now, so here's hoping she'll be able to get some of the Dolpa 17 outfits at the AE). Most likely I will wait until they announce the LE to make a final decision...

Also I am STARVED for pinky news! (°⌒°)

Personality: A cheerful little boy. Very impatient and can't ever sit still. Likes sweet things and bubbles and taking baths. Because he is the youngest he gets all his sisters' toys; his favourite toy right now is 'heehee-san' (rubber duck). He is afraid of being too warm so he always tries to wear as little clothing as he can. His sisters are trying their very best to teach Puff that he can't run around in underpants...

Oh my god Puff is so cute he makes Sweet Dreams Rengemaru look retarded T3T)  He's also got a KIPS disc in his neck so he poses like a dream! I got him a few days ago but haven't had the chance to take pictures of him at all! I haven't decided on a proper name for him yet...his default 'Puff' sounds really good ATM since my dolls all have a dessert theme going on with their names.

My new Miiko (PK013A) finally arrived yesterday in the mail after a LONG wait. It's probably because the past few releases haven't been too exciting or just too harmful to the wallet. I've already posted about it on the pinky-street.com forum but there were a few problems with Miiko...:

I just got mine today and I've also immediately noticed some BIG problems... 

For one thing, Miiko's head is a different colour than the rest of the parts! It's just a bit yellower than normal, not that much but enough to make me think of the bootleg pinkys   All the other parts with "skin" have the same peachy tone as always, it's just the head that's a strange colour. I really hope anyone else didn't have the same problem because it's extremely bothersome and I'm surprised they went and sold the head even though it was obviously a different colour than normal. Also the painting on the Union Jack tee wasn't done too well; I noticed that the edges of the sleeves weren't even painted in and had to touch it up with a little bit of paint myself.

The skintone isn't really TOO bad though...it is just very noticable underneath lamplight. I will definitely be customising her though, Miiko's head is very versatile.

In other news, I'm thinking about making this blog for BJDs as well. My new Puff will be the first entrant (o^___^)Y

EDIT: Also I just got the confirmation ticket for the NYC Dolpa 2 this June so I will be going to that as well! I'm looking forward to the summer XD!
