Sorry for not updating~ I've got some small news with my doll family but that can wait until I take the related photos ;; Anyway today was the first day of the Dolpa but unfortunately my camera card malfunctioned a little bit after it began.... so most of the pictures will be added later since I managed to get some taken on the wonderful Evelyn's camera.
The ones I'm posting now are a bit bad...soooo sorry! The following are what were displayed at the FDQ limited model area. I'm so happy to see Irvine is gorgeous in real life and not orange! The SD16s are still not my cup of tea but I'm sure many will find them to be beautiful girls. There were also FCS dolls in that area, including the new Sato-exclusive MSD fairy models but unfortunately my camera stopped working at that point ;;..........
More to come-!

Now for better photos! These are for the second day...I brought a different memory card with me this time so no problems!
Limited Items & Workshop - Today was mostly for buying limited items and the makeup and body maintenance workshops. Volks brought over some outfits made by Japanese vendors as well, I got there a bit late so a lot of the goods were gooone ;;; But I managed to snag a cute MSD dress set for girls by Tsukika that Westley had to model since I had him along today, he wasn't very happy about that... 8w8; There were also kimono and a limited elf outfit for sale.
Limited Dolls - Irvin was on display again today accompanied by the mysterious snowskinned Irvin and the Yo-SD Four Sisters (Megu, Nana, Kira, Sara). Both Irvins are beautiful but I've been trying so hard to keep my collection in the smaller range so it was a bit difficult to turn them down. The Yo-SDs were so cute! I gave in and put in a ticket for Nana; they'll be contacting the winners via e-mail on June 16th so I can decide then if I win her.
Unfortunately a sad incident took place during the event. 6 unique and beautiful dolls that were on display on the first day, along with one of the Irvins, went missing overnight. It was heartbreaking to hear Mr. Shigeta and Mikey break the news to us, and hopefully they will be found and donated to the Make A Wish foundation as Mr. Shigeta has hoped. More information can be found in the Den of Angels thread. I will be on the lookout so everyone else, please also make an effort to locate these unfortunate dolls.
This post will be reserved for all things wonderful and NYC Dolpa 2 related, Well..there was also the Dir en grey live that Saturday but that can be found in my LJ for those that are interested. I will post pictures from the Dolpa and try to write a report later after I edit them..there are so many! It'll be in the order I took the photos...
Exclusive kimonos - I'm disappointed that they didn't have a MSD model since that's the size I'm interested in the most. These were gorgeous and I think limited to about 10 or so sets each? I remember a lot of people ended up playing rock-paper-scissors for a chance to buy them. At the very end, even the sets on the models went on sale. They were too expensive and impractical for my dolls (who basically run around in jeans and tshirts), but I would've loved to get my hands on one of the hairpins. Also the Liz that was modelling one of the sets was very pretty.
Full Choice System - The best part was that I finally got to order my Sunlight FCS boy, Westley! It's been like a dream to have Sunlight skin available for order in the United States, and in New York of all places. I think there had been a period of time where it was available at the LA Tenshi-no-Sumika but it was a while ago... There weren't many FCS customers in line that day and I was pretty surprised, since I'm pretty sure there were at least 70 people who applied for it. I ended up being number 8 on the queue and got to chat with Janne from the Den of Angels forum, who was there having a Sunlight elf girl done.
My FCS order was taken Yamanaka Ken-san and I was extremely grateful for him since he was very eager to have everything done exactly the way I wanted it to be. I was provided with samples whenever possible; they didn't have some of the wig color/style combos in nor any hand parts in Sunlight skin. Everything was written directly in Japanese on my order form, unlike some of the others done by the LA employees, who will have to have the English translated into Japanese for the painters and it won't be as accurate as it should be. I brought in examples of the make up and everything so I'm pretty sure that Westley will turn out gorgeous. It was really nice to be able to see some of the FCS heads, especially the beautiful Syo girl. I was also amused by the vast number of Sunlight MSD F09 examples...
Doll Doctor/Beauty Salon - Flan got to go because her elastic was strung reeaaally loose. Also since they were offering KIPS attachment I got a set of those for her too. I thought it was really cute that the doll doctors gave you a little certificate after they fix them for you. The wait was pretty long; I got my ticket before I did my FCS order and even that took about an hour, and it still wasn't my turn. It was worth it though, now she can do some crazy poses XD!
One Offs - Beautiful F34 girl! It was my first time seeing the mold in person and I thought she resembled a younger version of Madoka; the makeup was absolutely gorgeously done. My other favorites are probably the Lucas and School C girl; mainly because they are some of my favorite molds and it was wonderful to be able to see them dressed so finely. In general, all the outfits were amazing, but a bit disappointing since there were no MSDs...(TT⌒TT) The Madoka and Tachibana Jun weren't to my taste though...Madoka looked a bit prude and Jun's makeup was too dramatic for me.
Neither of my friends nor I won anything at the Lottery event during the dinner (´A`。) It was nervewracking to sit through it hoping to win something but at the end...no luck! ( ノД`)ノ I got to take a photo of Flan with the adorable Sei-tenshi won at our table though; the body of the Sei-Tenshi makes me think almost of the SD10 body. If Yo-SD is like SD13, then Sei-tenshi is the baby SD10 XD I was surprised by the sheer number of tenshi given away at the event though, maybe next year I'll win one........!
Also I just bought a Yo-SD Raincoat Set on impulse >3>) I was browsing the international site and noticed that it was in stock after an entire year! It's going to be shipped to my mother so I can save on shipping XD; *doesn't want to pay EMS prices...* I've been looking for a set ever since I missed out in Japan last year. *3*
The Suzumiya Haruhi pinky prototypes are also finally out! I think I'm going to have to cave in and buy the entire set...same thing goes for the Series 6 girls (°⌒°;;a) I'll have to skip on the Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo pinky because it's not very interesting other than the accessories...It's funny since I can definitely get it through the mail order but it's just an issue of budget right now.... For once I welcome delays from Vance Project!
